Shoes make up a big part of many women’s wardrobes. There is something about shoes that just seems to make women crazy. Shoes come in so many styles and options and come in and out of fashion so much that it is hard to keep up with what is in and what is out. Flat shoes seem to always stay in style; it may be the comfort factor, and they make it easier to navigate through the day.

Gladiator shoes are sandals that strap up the legs typically to right above the ankle, some strap up to the knee. They made their first appearance as a trend in foot ware in the early seventies, then they fell off the radar again until the late nineteen eighties and again disappeared for awhile, now they are once again in fashion. These types of shoes are named after the Roman gladiators that originally wore them.
